3-6 Jul 2025 / Alexander-Technique intensive, Schloss Bröllin

The ATCB Alexander Technique Centre Berlin invites other AT training schools.
This intensive is also open to guests.

As the effects of the Alexander Technique become more widespread and the interests of the people practicing it more diverse, the manners of working with the Technique are becoming more and more manifold. The varying manners of approach within the Technique can be confusing at times, even baffling when we work with each other, and can differ so much that the integrating spirit underlying the technique ends in conflict. What are we pointing at – and where are we pointing from, when we work with the Technique?

This year we would like to explore with you together a question very relevant to the Technique: “In which direction is the Alexander Technique going?”, or “In which direction are we going with the Alexander Technique?

As last year, we will all be working in the same space, inquiring together. The 6 senior teachers supporting and inspiring the inquiry this year are Odysée Gaveau from Paris, Refia Sachs from London, Yael Tam from Jerusalem, Dan Armon from Tel Aviv, Carsten Møller from Copenhagen and myself Jonathan Sheratte from Berlin.

We will hold spontaneous talks again, ‘under the tree’, exploring our way into subjects arising during the weekend and our discussion on Friday evening will delve into the depths and scope of our understanding of ‘Direction’ (aspiration, intention, interest, etc.) within the work. If you already have a subject you’d like to be considered for discussion, you’re welcome to mail it to me. Use the contact sheet in our website: www.alexandertechnique-centre.berlin

I look forward to seeing everybody again, and meeting new faces!

Best wishes
Jonathan Sheratte
